Our Sales Manager Jürgen Schiller and Product Manager Michael Koch were interviewed about this. The situation is serious due to the ongoing corona wave in China: “We are preparing for a supply bottleneck for surgical drapes and surgical gowns,” says Michael Koch in a worried voice.
Many products in the field of medical technology are “Made in China”, which can cause major problems in the event of supply bottlenecks. Jürgen Schiller gives a very simple example: “An endotracheal tube is used to ventilate a patient in the operating theater. If we are not supplied with it, we can no longer ventilate patients in this way – during an operation. This can have life-threatening consequences!”
